Maintenance Plan FAQ
Am I locked into a contract?
No. We do have a Services Agreement that outlines the engagement and covers both sides from a legal perspective. But you are free to cancel your maintenance plan at any time for any reason.
If I cancel mid-month or mid-year, will I get a refund?
No. We do not provide refunds for partials months or years due to cancellation requests. If there are other reasons or circumstances a refund is requested, it will certainly be considered.
What do you mean by Small, Normal and Major content updates?
Small Content Updates are things such as fixing typos and errors, adding a new employee to your About page and changing an image or two. They are quick and easy.
Normal Content Updates would be like adding a full blog post, changing one full page of content, adding or updating an image gallery or adding a new feature to an existing page.
Major Content Updates would include adding multiple new pages to the website, posting multiple blog articles each month, adding multiple image galleries or adding new functionality to the site.
Do you only maintain WordPress websites?
No! We can help maintain any website on any platform. We work most with WordPress, so our pricing is geared towards that platform. However, if your site is built in Squarespace or Webflow, we can still maintain it. In that case, we may adjust our pricing because those platforms manage the version updates for you.
What access do you need to maintain our website?
At the very minimum, we'll need Administrator access to your WordPress website or other website platform. Additionally, we find it easiest if we are also added to your hosting account, where we can access the databases, DNS records, FTP accounts and things like that. We don't always have a need for this, but when we do, it's usually important.
What is the process for starting up a maintenance plan?
The first step is to contact us and let us know what plan you'd like to start and if you need any customizations to it. If you're not sure what plan would be best, we do do a free consultation of your website and marketing set up to find out what needs you have.
From there we'll send you a Services Agreement outlining the services we will offer each month and the price you will pay for those services. Once that is signed we'll set up your payment method. After we receive the first payment our work will begin!
